Diwani calligraphy wall art, printed and framed by hand in our workshop in 5–7 working days.. Diwani is the ceremonial hand of the Ottoman chancery: the letters knot and climb, and a line becomes an ornament before it becomes a sentence. It is what most people mean when they say “Arabic calligraphy”, and it is the script we write the Arabic proverbs and Quranic verses in — «الصبر مفتاح الفرج», «العلم نور», «الجار قبل الدار», «إن مع العسر يسرا». Prices are shown on each piece.
Every piece is printed with archival inks on cotton canvas; Delivery is Emirates Post Express. Diwani reads best large — an A2 above a sofa, an A1 in a hallway — and it is genuinely hard to read at a glance, which is part of its charm and worth knowing before you choose it for a name.
Compare it with the monumental Thuluth and the Persian Nastaliq on the script pages, or write your own line in Diwani in Mashq Studio.
